Notes:

- ALIAS is a renowned force in AOR circles. The band was fronted by ex-SHERIFF men vocalist FREDDY CURCI and guitarist Steve DeMarchi with a trio of HEART founder members guitarist ROGER FISHER, bassist Steve Fossen and drummer Mike DeRosier. The latter had also served time with ORION. Incredibly, just as ALIAS was being promoted, a 30 week run on the charts gave SHERIFF a posthumous no.1. Although Curci and DeMarchi were active with ALIAS, it was erstwhile SHERIFF keyboard player Arnold Lanni who owned both the SHERIFF name and the publishing rights to the chart topping 'When I'm With You'.

Nevertheless, the 1990 ALIAS album quickly catapulted to Gold status in America with two singles 'More Than Words Can Say' and 'Waiting For Love' both breaking the Billboard top 5. Touring to promote the album as guests of REO SPEEDWAGON only heightened personal differences though and the HEART refugees decamped en masse. Reports emerged that tracks for a second ALIAS album were recorded in West Orange, New Jersey during 1992, but would be shelved.

Fisher has issued three solo albums 'Standing, Looking Up', 'Forest Rain' and 'Evolution'. During 2002 Curci revealed his new outfit ZION, a union with guitarist Alex Masi of MASI repute, and the CONEY HATCH credited Paul Marangoni on drums.

The first new ALIAS recording in many years came with the release of the 'VH1 Classic Metal Mania: Stripped' compilation album through Sidewinder Music, the band re-recording an acoustic version of the power ballad 'More Than Words Can Say'. Another brand new version of 'More Than Words Can Say' surfaced on the October 2005 follow up, 'VH1 Classic Metal Mania: Stripped Volume 2: The Anthems'.

In January 2009 EMI Canada revealed the shelved second ALIAS album tapes were to be re-mastered for public release. ALIAS themselves announced they were to perform live to back up the release. The band involved Freddy Curci, Steve DeMarchi, the THIN LIZZY credited Marco Mendoza on bass, Larry Aberman on drums, plus Robert O'Hearn and Dennis DeMarchi on keyboards. -
