Notes:

- Originally conceived as the resurrection of ANGEL, keyboard player Greg Giuffria was quickly forced to utilize his own surname as a band moniker following complaints from his former band mates. Signed to the Camel Records subsidiary of MCA, the original line-up included ex-SABU bassist Rick Bozzo, but he had departed by the time the group had begun work on their self-titled debut and quickly replaced with Chuck Wright from QUIET RIOT. Guitarist Craig Goldy had been one of the original members of ROUGH CUTT, whilst vocalist DAVID GLEN EISLEY had recorded unreleased material with PAUL SABU and was the son of 'Hawaiian Eye' actor Anthony Eisley.

The group set to work on their self-titled, Andy Johns produced debut album that would be issued during 1984 to a fine degree of acclaim, even from the most skeptical of ANGEL fans. Upon the album's release GIUFFRIA toured America opening for the reformed DEEP PURPLE. They were eventually kicked off the trek allegedly due to the fact they were far more popular than the headliners, GIUFFRIA having scored a huge hit with the singles 'Call To The Heart' and 'Lonely In Love' by this time.

The band also contributed three tracks to the 1985 Curb / MCA issued soundtrack album of the movie 'Gotcha' - Never Too Late', 'Say It Ain't True' and 'What's Your Name'. The latter song was rather curiously credited on the sleeve to the mysterious CAMELFLAGE (although the record's label gave the game away by listing it as another Giuffria track!) due to the more poppy nature of the song itself.

In early 85 Wright left the band in acrimonious circumstances, followed in the Summer by Craig Goldy who quit for Rudy Sarzo's DRIVER project and, ultimately, would land the vacant guitarists slot in DIO. Wright would end up sessioning for MASI and IMPELLITERRI. After working with SAMMY HAGAR guitarist Gary Pihl for around a week in the wake of Goldy's departure, for the second album former MONDO CAIN guitarist LANNY CORDOLA was hired to fill Goldy's shoes, whilst erstwhile ALDO NOVA bassist David Sikes took up employment at the same time.

In early 1988 GIUFFRIA were reported to have begun work on a third album, provisionally titled 'Pleasure Palace', with tracks such as 'Slip Of The Tongue' and 'Stand Up' slated to be included. At the same time David Glen Eisley had bagged the part of a psychotic called Thaw in the movie 'Action Jackson'. But Eisley's tenure with GIUFFRIA would soon be terminated, with the singer eventually returning fronting DIRTY WHITE BOY after a spell working with Japanese guitarist KUNI.

However, after encountering problems with Polydor following a European tour, DIRTY WHITE BOY split and Eisley reunited with old band mate Craig Goldy to front the guitarist's solo vehicle CRAIG GOLDY'S RITUAL in late 1991. The guitarist would rejoin DIO in 1999. Cordola and Giuffria created the Gene Simmons inspired HOUSE OF LORDS project, utilizing many of the song ideas originally planned for the third GIUFFRIA album.

In late 1987 ANGEL made a reformation attempt but efforts to lure Giuffria from HOUSE OF LORDS were unsuccessful. In extracurricular activity, Cordola guested on the debut SHOUT album. The guitarist bailed out of HOUSE OF LORDS in 1990, crafting the solo album 'Electric Warrior Acoustic Saint'.

HOUSE OF LORDS reformed in 2000. Giuffria meanwhile had entered the Las Vegas world of business with a plan to construct the world's largest ferris wheel. Further business ventures would be assailed by bad luck with a recording studio gutted by fire and, in August 2005, his Biloxi Hard Rock Casino venture completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. On a more positive note, Giuffria embarked upon new recordings with HOUSE OF LORDS. The keyboard player also revealed he was in talks with both Ken Mary and David Glenn Eisley in regard to a GIUFFRIA reunion. -
