Notes:

- Jeff Cannata is the man responsible for fashioning the ARC ANGEL project. CANNATA is essentially ARC ANGEL under a different name.

The 'Images Of Forever' album turned up on the resurrected Carrere label in 1988. HOUSE OF LORDS vocalist JAMES CHRISTIAN supplied backing vocals and guitars were recorded by ARC ANGEL's Jay Johnson, a longtime associate of Cannata.

Cannata gained engineering credits on SECRET SMILE's 'The Road Less Travelled' album in 2003. Arise Records re-issued the 1993 album 'Watching The World' in new artwork during 2005, adding bonus tracks. -

- One of the most powerful and influential genres in the history of international pop music, the British art-rock sound of the early and mid-Seventies still reverberates today. A new and strikingly personal interpretation of that sound is captured on Images of forever, the debut album by CANNATA on Carrere/CBS Associated Records.

Images of forever showcases the multiple talents of group founder Jeff Cannata: composer, arranger, producer, and the man responsible for the majority of the album's vocal and instrumental parts. Cannata,
a native of New Haven, Connecticut, has led a consistent and varied professional career since the early Seventies when he was drummer extrordinaire for Jasper Wrath was heavily influenced by the work of Alan Parsons, King Crimson, and Genesis; Cannata himself was especially intrigued by the production styles of Roy Thomas-Baker, Alan Parsons, and Trevor Horn.

Following the band's demise. CANNATA concentrated on refining his recording and production expertise as well as his self-taught skills on guitar, bass, and keyboards. In 1983, he formed a new group called Arc Angel, built around his original material and arrangements. Arc Angel released an impressive debut LP (on Portrait Records), but commercial success was not forthcoming.

The outlook for Images of forever is considerably brighter, given the revival of popular interest in such Anglo art-rock stalwarts as Peter Gabriel, Yes, Genesis, even Jethro Tull. The nine songs comprising Images of forever were recorded at CANNATA's own Oxford Circus Studio and mixed at Skip Saylor Studios in Los Angeles with the help of veteran engineer Bill Drescher (whose credits include the La Bamba soundtrack as well as recent sessions with Rick Springfield and Cher).

Jeff Cannata is the sole composer of six tracks, including the first "priority" cut, the atmospheric "Fortune Teller". Three others "Sailing Ships", "Middle of the night" and "Will the sky begin to fall" were co-written with keyboardist/lyricist Michael Soldan, another former member of Jasper Wrath. Though the predominant sound of Images of forever comes from CANNATA's own multi-tracked vocals, keyboards, and drum programming, Scott Zito adds his expert guitar riffs to the closing track, "Together" and "Will the sky begin to fall".

CANNATA brings you Images of forever, on Carrere/CBS Associated Records, Compact Discs, and Cassettes. -
