- NIGHT WORK was the follow-up band to Texan pomp rockers Winterkat. Formed in 1985 in San Antonio by Ric Swanson, Chris Watkins, Tim Saunders, Jeff Doyle and Jamie Vallejo, the combo recorded their eponymous debut album on their own, which was released in 1986 on their own label - but only on vinyl. With their classic AOR sound of the Sugarcreek, Preview, Aviator or Bystander brand, the band was right on trend, but lacked a major label for a national breakthrough. -
