The global success of bands like Europe opened the floodgates for a new generation of musicians eager to conquer the world with energetic riffs, monumental choruses, and an amount of hairspray that defied both gravity and ozone limits.

In the midst of this sonic whirlwind, Mats Dahlberg, the talented former drummer of the band Treat, decided to step up and front his own project. Inspired by his personal nickname, he christened the group Dalton. To round out the definitive lineup, he recruited lead vocalist Bo "Bosse" Lindmark, Anders Lindmark on bass, Leif Westfahl on lead guitar, and Ola Lindström on keyboards.
